Networking & Training Events

The HHS Mentoring Program provides optional networking and training events that are designed to support learning and development in the mentoring relationship with a focus on eight competencies which are critical to professional success. These events provide opportunities for participants to network and hear from speakers and thought leaders that have effectively used these competencies to achieve professional goals. The competencies are:

• Self-Direction

• Accountability

• Leveraging Diversity

• Conflict Management

• Strategic Thinking

• Organizational Systems Awareness

• Customer Service

• Decisiveness

These activities provide additional training opportunities and tools to both mentees and mentors. They are designed to help individuals to network with individuals across HHS and share experiences and success stories regarding mentoring in HHS.
